If I have already hired an attorney, can I still hire The Women’s Financial Wellness Center?

Yes, we can be part of your divorce team even if you already have hired an attorney. While we love being involved from the very beginning of the process to help match our clients with the right attorney, we work with clients who see the value in adding a financial expert to their team. For women who find themselves frustrated with their attorney, we provide strategies for assertive communication and boundaries. In addition, we can be a sounding board as to whether or not you want to stay the course with your current legal counsel or explore other options. No pressure! We have just found that women appreciate being able to talk through their options.

Do you work with women who do not want to hire an attorney or a mediator?

We feel that it is important for women to have legal representation (at some level) during the divorce process. Unfortunately, we are not able to work 1:1 with women who choose to not hire an attorney or mediator. However, we do have free resources, podcasts and articles to available to support you on your pro se journey!

What is your philosophy on helping women through the divorce process?

We have your back! We believe that women deserve to:

· Be treated with kindness and respect

· Ask questions without feeling stupid

· Create a budget that factors in their current and future lifestyle

· Know the financial information needed to make empowered decisions

What is the biggest challenge you see for women going through divorce?

The biggest challenge that we see for women is not related to the finances, but rather, the overall mindset. More specifically, here are some of the trends we observe when talked with women. They tend to downplay the situation. They do not ask for what they want or need (without feeling like they need to justify everything). They do not think they deserve a team. They are not willing to challenge the status quo because they want everything to be amicable. Unfortunately, this is keeping them disempowered. Women’s Financial Wellness Center is positioned to help change that!

How do you charge for your services?

We offer a flat-free rate for most of our services with opportunities to upgrade for additional support. We evaluate each situation to determine the best recommendation for your situation.

Are you able to provide support at mediation sessions?

Yes! We have several options for mediation depending upon what is needed. For more information click here.

What results have your clients had overall?

Our clients have seen amazing results. Not only are they happier and more peaceful, but they are able to save on legal fees and get a better outcome. Typically, our clients save up to 50% on legal fees AND get at least a 10X return on investment.
